OCTOBER BEAN SUPER AND GENERAL MEETING

The October General Meeting of the Grayson County Historical Society was held on the 9th at the Jack Thomas House. The crowd was in excess of 50 souls and the local politcal candidates numbered about 15. For a little over an hour the contenders took turns on the soap box pushing their agendas, but to everyone's appreciation, no mudd was to be slung.

After the pandering had ended, everyone still standing was treated to a free bean and cornbread dinner made by the very Board Members of the Historical Society. The event lasted well over two hours - well into the darkness outside, but it was to the approval of all who atteded.

If you missed out on all the fun, don't worry, the Jack Thomas House will have it's doors open again in December for the Leitchfield Hometown Christmas Parade!
